Job description
Candidate Profile
- Professional background in Construction Project Management (PMC) with over six years of relevant experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating the master project schedule encompassing key milestones for phases such as pre-design, design, tender, award, construction, and project completion.
- Accountable for developing various sub-schedules including design timelines, pre-bid periods, shop drawings and submittals, individual contract timelines, and occupancy plans.
- Preparation, submission, and circulation of monthly reports covering narrative updates, cost, scheduling, and financial status.
- Development and support in crafting Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and precedence diagrams for design phases as well as separate contract packages for design and construction.
- Review and analysis of contractors' schedules and updates, advising project leadership on critical activities and deadlines within design and construction phases.
- Support Design and Construction Managers and superintendents in sequencing activities and distributing resources effectively.
- Assist in tender evaluations to verify that contractor schedules and any exceptions comply with the overall project timeline requirements.
- Offer guidance on corrective scheduling actions when actual progress deviates from planned schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct scenario analyses to consider alternatives and contingencies influenced by market changes, modifications, or unforeseen events impacting schedules.
- Participation in coordination meetings as needed to align all project stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of job responsibilities.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Proficiency in English with capability in reading, writing, and speaking.
Professional Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PRMG
- IPMA
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
- Advanced numerical and analytical skills with proven experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Expertise in time management and scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Keen attention to detail ensuring accuracy in planning and control activities.
- Ability to function efficiently within team environments.
