Planning Manager

About the Role

NxtGen Facades, a manufacturer specializing in glazing and sheet metal facade solutions for building projects carried out with Eirefacades, is seeking a Planning Manager. This leadership position will oversee all facets of production planning including scheduling, capacity, materials, and transport throughout the entire production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the factory's master production schedule aligned with project demands and call-offs.
• Release weekly and daily production schedules, lead weekly planning meetings, and prepare 2–3 week look-ahead plans.
• Manage machine, shift, and workforce capacity, adjusting resource allocation to address delays or fluctuating demands.
• Monitor supplier deliveries and collaborate with Purchasing and Stock Control to ensure material availability.
• Take ownership of transport planning and management of outbound dispatch schedules.
• Maintain accuracy in ERP production data and assist with daily production and labor reporting.
• Monitor planning KPIs and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in production planning, preferably within manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in scheduling and capacity management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Business Central or comparable platforms.
• Solid understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, and logistics.
• Advanced Excel capabilities coupled with a data-focused and organized mindset.
• Excellent communication skills capable of balancing and managing competing priorities.
• Experience in facades, glazing, or sheet metal sectors is a significant advantage.
