Planning Engineer

Overview

The Planning Engineer role based in Mohali focuses on synchronizing project planning with on-site execution through efficient management of resources, monitoring work quality, recording daily progress, and maintaining comprehensive site documentation. This role supports the execution team to carry out planned work seamlessly by proactively addressing material, quality, and reporting issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor material usage in line with approved indents and forecasted demands, identifying shortages to prevent disruption of site activities.
• Coordinate daily deployment of labor collaborating with supervisors and foremen, and prepare material indents tied to weekly and short-term plans.
• Establish and perform daily quality checkpoints for assigned tasks, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards, and document quality findings to resolve any concerns promptly.
• Support senior management in conducting quality audits and maintaining records.
• Create daily task lists and track progress against plans, reporting any discrepancies, bottlenecks, or pending decisions to senior engineers.
• Maintain progress trackers and site records accurately to reflect up-to-date status.
• Verify construction quantities in daily and weekly reports against actual work, organize verified data in Excel trackers, preserve photographic and documentary evidence, and submit comprehensive records for consolidation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech).
• Minimum of five years' hands-on experience in managing construction project execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD, material tracking techniques, and site documentation practices.
