Job description
Role Overview
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing project estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), quantity calculations, detailed rate analysis, and cost documentation. They will manage tender activities including preparation, bid submissions, and vendor interactions involving quotations and rate comparisons.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily civil site work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
- Verify and prepare client and vendor/contractor bills along with accurate measurements and relevant supporting documents.
- Plan and coordinate resources including manpower, materials, equipment, contractors, and vendors effectively at the site.
- Supervise site personnel including staff, supervisors, and the overall labor force deployment.
- Create and maintain daily and weekly work schedules, monitor project progress and prepare detailed progress reports and management information systems (MIS) documentation.
- Identify any project delays or issues promptly and coordinate necessary corrective measures.
- Maintain comprehensive project data management through tools like MS Excel covering billing, BOQs, estimates, and progress reports.
