About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Planner to join our Project Controls team at Hatch in Perth, Western Australia, supporting the successful delivery of challenging EPCM projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules, ensuring cohesive alignment of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive EPCM project schedules using software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to synchronize project timelines and resource allocation.
- Undertake periodic site visits to review and confirm project progress, identifying potential risks and trends, while recommending effective mitigation approaches.
- Examine and validate contractor schedules, including evaluations of extension of time claims.
- Deliver timely and precise forecasting, along with reporting and performance analysis for stakeholders.
- Provide planning inputs and analytical insights to support other project reporting platforms like Synchro 4D and Power BI.
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives and the establishment of planning best practices.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess over a decade of experience within EPCM environments, demonstrating mastery in planning and project management methodologies. You will have successfully managed large-scale, complex, multidisciplinary projects where tracking dependencies and key milestones in challenging settings was imperative. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools is essential. Strong organizational skills, effective prioritization, clear communication, and the ability to provide guidance for high-quality results are key attributes. Relevant academic credentials in engineering, project management, or a related field are required.
