About the Role
As a Planner at Scan - Bilt Pte Ltd, you will take ownership of detailed project scheduling, baseline management, and resource planning essential for construction and process industry projects. You will develop comprehensive programs, monitor progress, analyze delays, and support recovery efforts to ensure timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules throughout all project phases, leveraging Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Create comprehensive work breakdown structures and define activity logic, milestones, and critical paths covering building, civil, foundation, and maintenance projects.
- Estimate activity durations by evaluating work scope, quantities, construction methods, productivity, and site constraints.
- Maintain project baselines in alignment with contractual and client requirements; keep thorough revision and change-control documentation.
- Plan and coordinate the deployment of manpower, equipment, plant, and materials in synchronization with project teams.
- Generate resource-loaded schedules and forecasts for short, medium, and long-term resource requirements; assess and recommend actions for resource imbalances.
- Prepare look-ahead plans for site execution and produce routine progress monitoring reports including schedule updates, progress curves, and manpower histograms.
- Assess schedule variances, detect critical path shifts, and provide early warnings of potential delays or constraints affecting project timelines.
- Maintain delay records, conduct delay analysis, and facilitate submission of extension of time (EOT) claims supported by thorough schedule evaluations and documentation.
- Coordinate planning aspects during tender stages, including developing tender programmes, resource plans, and aligning with cross-functional teams and subcontractors.
- Oversee site schedule adherence, including sequence integrity, testing, punch-list completion, handover activities, and closure documentation.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Nitec in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Between 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or process industries.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for developing schedules and generating client-ready reports.
- Experience with scheduling for civil infrastructure, building, foundations, or process-related construction projects is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret drawings, understand construction techniques, and convert project scopes into effective activity sequences and resource estimates.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with both site and office teams.
