Role Overview
The Placement Coordinator role is a full-time position based on-site at the MAAC center in Durgapur, West Bengal. The core responsibility centers on forging and sustaining professional relationships with recruiters, studios, and production houses to generate job placement opportunities for students. The coordinator manages campus recruitment initiatives, plans and schedules interviews, organizes placement drives, and monitors placement results. Additionally, the role involves mentoring students on resume crafting, interview techniques, and workplace conduct. Sharing up-to-date industry information and job market trends also forms part of this position. The role requires consistent reporting on placement statistics, collaborating with academic teams to align curriculum with market demands, and ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both students and hiring partners.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and nurture professional relationships.
- Clear, effective communication abilities suitable for interactions with students, faculty, and employers.
- Customer service aptitude to support and guide both students and recruitment partners efficiently.
- Understanding of education and training contexts, preferably within media, animation, or associated industries.
- Recruitment expertise including opportunity sourcing, managing selection processes, and maintaining placement databases.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; degrees with focus on management, education, or media are advantageous.
- Prior experience in placement coordination, career services, human resources, or recruitment is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.
