Job description
Role Overview
The Picker / Packer is responsible for accurately assembling customer orders by selecting items from specified locations within the warehouse and efficiently packing them for delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review order lists on handheld devices, which include item names and shelf locations.
- Navigate warehouse aisles and bins to gather the correct items, verifying accuracy by scanning barcodes.
- Inspect item quality and expiry dates, promptly notifying supervisors about any stock shortages or damaged products.
- Organize and pack collected items appropriately, ensuring separation of cold or perishable goods as required.
- Attach and scan order slips/barcodes to confirm completion and hand over packed orders to delivery personnel for dispatch.
