Pick & Prep Clerk Full-Time

Overview

This role focuses on preparing Pick & Prep products along with delivering exceptional product preparation services, aiming to create a sensory and engaging shopping experience for customers while maintaining or exceeding company standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers actively through product preparation, offering samples, and suggestive selling techniques.
• Provide outstanding guest service consistently, including storytelling about departmental products and emphasizing benefits such as freshness, healthiness, seasonality, and local sourcing.
• Showcase knife skills as a demonstration to highlight the services and products available at Pick & Prep.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area in strict adherence to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure that products meet Lowes Foods quality standards before sale.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the department following company standards.
• Participate in product preparation, receiving shipments, ordering inventory, stocking, merchandising, and customer service to meet standards.
• Make public address announcements as needed.
• Execute any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Possess a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
• Demonstrated ability to actively engage guests and enjoy interacting with them.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Physical capability to consistently lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and follow directions.
• Familiarity with Pick & Prep operations.
• Willingness and ability to learn various tasks and technical skills required for the role, including knife handling.
• Strong communication, customer service, and sales abilities.
• Age of 18 years or older is mandatory.
• Capability to bend, kneel, and stand for prolonged durations.
• Effective communication skills to understand and execute supervisor instructions.
• Comfortable using computers and weighing scales.
