Overview

Happy Old Age Home Organisation in Trimulgherry (Tirumalagiri), Secunderabad, seeks a compassionate and expert Physiotherapist committed to elderly care. The role focuses on enhancing mobility, functional independence, and physical health of senior residents.

Primary Duties

• Perform detailed physical and mobility assessments for both new and current residents.
• Create and apply tailored physiotherapy treatment plans addressing geriatric issues such as arthritis, back pain, joint stiffness, post-stroke rehabilitation, neurological recovery, post-surgery recuperation, and gait training.
• Conduct daily therapy sessions within working hours from 9 am to 6 pm.
• Provide passive and active exercises, including range-of-motion activities, chest physiotherapy, and posture correction for residents with limited mobility.
• Keep meticulous daily records of treatments and monitor patient progress systematically.
• Educate caregiving staff on techniques for safe handling, transferring, and positioning of bed-bound individuals.
• For residential physiotherapists, be available on-call to handle emergency physical assistance and immediate resident care needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree or an equivalent recognized diploma/certificate.
• Valid registration or certification to practice physiotherapy is mandatory.
• At least one year of clinical experience, ideally including geriatric, orthopedic, or neurological rehabilitation.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and empathy for elderly patients.
• Competence in using assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, parallel bars, TENS units, and ultrasound equipment.
• Knowledge of Telugu and Hindi languages is beneficial.
