Physiotherapist

Role Overview

We seek empathetic and proficient Physiotherapists to deliver personalised physiotherapy services at patients' residences, tailored to their specific health needs and rehabilitation plans. This position may involve regular employment with scheduled assignments or flexible on-call visits as requested by customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial physiotherapy evaluations of elderly patients in their homes.
• Assess mobility, strength, balance, posture, flexibility, and functional challenges.
• Create individualized rehabilitation and physiotherapy plans.
• Implement home-based treatments aimed at improving mobility and strength, facilitating post-surgery recovery, aiding stroke and Parkinson's symptom management, addressing arthritis and joint pain, resolving back and neck issues, preventing falls, and strengthening age-related weaknesses.
• Guide patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and suitable rehabilitation techniques.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises, safe positioning, mobility, and safety measures.
• Recommend and ensure adherence to prescribed home exercise regimens.
• Track patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Identify any critical changes necessitating medical intervention and report them promptly to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and other healthcare practitioners as necessary.
• Maintain precise records including visit documentation, assessments, and progress tracking.
• Provide timely updates to assigned Care Managers and family members in accordance with company protocols.
• Strictly follow professional, ethical, safety, and infection control standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from an accredited institution.
• Postgraduate training (MPT) or specialized qualifications are advantageous.
• Valid registration with the relevant professional or state regulatory body, if applicable.
• Previous experience in geriatric, home healthcare, rehabilitation, or hospital physiotherapy is preferred.
• Deep understanding of elderly mobility issues, fall prevention strategies, and rehabilitation methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, compassion, and comfort working with senior citizens.
• Willingness to travel to patient homes for scheduled visits.
• Capacity to work autonomously while coordinating effectively with the care team.

Special Instructions for On-Call Physiotherapists

On-call physiotherapists will be registered with the company and receive home visit assignments based on patient need, location, and availability. Visits are scheduled as required, offering flexible work options suited for those seeking additional home care engagements. Compensation will follow the company’s empanelment policies.
