About the Role

Our client is a prominent healthcare provider in Qatar, contributing to the nation's expanding healthcare and sports medicine capabilities following the post-World Cup infrastructure investments. They are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join their rehabilitation team, serving patients with musculoskeletal, sports medicine, neurological, and general rehabilitation needs.

Role Summary

The appointed Physiotherapist will conduct thorough assessments and deliver tailored treatments for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Working as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, the role supports Qatar’s advanced investment in sports medicine and rehabilitation facilities such as Aspetar and the Qatar Rehabilitation Institute (QRI).

Key Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer treatments in areas including musculoskeletal, sports injury recovery, neurological, paediatric, or general rehabilitation according to role requirements.
  • Apply a variety of manual therapies, exercise programs, and modality-based techniques suitable for patient conditions.
  • Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation aligned with DHP/QCHP and facility standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, occupational therapists, and sports medicine experts.
  • Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, home exercises, and self-care strategies.
  • Engage in departmental quality assurance, audits, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Comply with all clinical governance, infection control, and health and safety requirements stipulated by DHP/QCHP.

Essential Qualifications and Registration

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited program.
  • At least 2 years of clinical practice post-qualification.
  • Licensure with Qatar’s Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), including mandatory DataFlow Primary Source Verification and successful completion of the Qatar-specific Prometric physiotherapy exam.
  • A valid Certificate of Good Standing from the most recent practice’s regulatory authority.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Job offer with confirmed sponsorship from a Qatari employer, necessary for final DHP license issuance.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Certification or proficiency in sports medicine, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, or neurological/spinal cord injury rehabilitation specialties.
  • Previous clinical work experience in GCC or international settings.
  • Experience in elite sports medicine or complex rehabilitation multidisciplinary environments.
  • Additional certifications in manual therapy or other specialized techniques relevant to role functions.
