Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Physics Teacher for an international school based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards for middle and/or high school students. The role involves preparing lesson plans, laboratory activities, and student assessments, along with grading and providing constructive feedback. Maintaining accurate student progress records and fostering a safe and inclusive classroom environment are key responsibilities. Integration of technology and practical experiments to enhance learning, collaboration with fellow educators on cross-disciplinary projects, and contribution to school-wide initiatives are also expected. Additional duties may include regular communication with parents, involvement in professional growth activities, and participation in extracurricular academic programs such as science clubs or competitions.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Experience with American Curriculum, International Baccalaureate (IB), or Advanced Placement (AP) is advantageous.
- A relevant academic degree and recognized teaching qualification.
- Strong classroom management capabilities promoting an inclusive, student-focused learning atmosphere.
- Competence in applying educational technology and digital resources to facilitate teaching, assessment, and communication.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal; knowledge of additional languages represents a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Science Education, or a closely related discipline; possession of a teaching certificate or license is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching physics in international or multicultural school environments is highly valued.
- Effective collaboration skills to work with peers, engage with families, and actively participate in school events and programs.
