About the Opportunity
Join one of the leading names in payments by becoming a Software Engineer in a dynamic Technology team. You will contribute to building, enhancing, and modernizing a premier self-storage platform used by thousands, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to tackle real-world challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and secure reliable software solutions including web applications, databases, and integrations.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to develop customer-centric products.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, implementing sustainable fixes.
- Assist in platform modernization efforts, architectural enhancements, and continuous delivery improvements.
- Support software release processes and optimize engineering workflows through automation and tooling.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in web application development and maintenance.
- Proficient in PHP programming and Laravel framework development.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Front-end expertise including JavaScript, Vue.js or comparable frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
- Ability to build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git version control, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Additional Advantages
- Background in updating legacy systems.
- Knowledge of jQuery, Bootstrap, XML, SOAP, and AJAX technologies.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, containerization, and DevOps strategies.
- Experience within payment platforms, financial software, or regulated sectors.

Compensation
The role offers an annual salary ranging from NZD 105,000 to NZD 115,000 plus superannuation benefits.
