Role Overview

We are currently seeking Arabic-speaking visual researchers, photographers, and annotators to develop image-based evaluation tasks intended for sophisticated AI systems. This role involves obtaining genuine real-world photographs, confirming image rights and origins, performing detailed subject research utilizing tools like Google Search, Google Lens, and reverse image searches, and producing altered versions of images through cropping, masking, or degrading that still retain sufficient clues for complex analysis. Additionally, you will prepare prompts in English, grading standards, and explanatory notes for every assignment.

Contract Terms and Work Setting

• Position type: Freelance contract for 16 weeks.
• Weekly commitment: 40 hours.
• Location: Fully remote, accepting applicants from Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt.
• Selection involves application and portfolio evaluations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect authentic photographic images representing real-world locales, products, and media aligned with the targeted regional context.
• Authenticate image licenses, copyrights, and provenance thoroughly.
• Conduct multi-layered visual research employing Google Search, Google Lens, and reverse image technology.
• Generate cropped, masked, occluded, or visually degraded images that obscure vital identifiers but maintain plausible clues.
• Craft clear, English-language prompts designed within specified time limits, without disclosing solutions.
• Develop precise and impartial grading measures for each evaluation item.
• Document correct identification, research methodology, supporting proofs, and expected answers thoroughly.
• Adhere to structured naming conventions, shared Google Drive arrangements, and submission protocols.
• Ensure uniformity and high quality in multiple evaluation productions.

Candidate Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic.
• Strong command of English language.
• In-depth cultural understanding of local contexts including lesser-known landmarks, academic institutions, government buildings, and domestic media.
• Comfortable performing iterative visual and internet research based on fragmentary image details.
• Proficient in verifying imagery free of copyright or with appropriate public or Creative Commons licensing.
• Basic skills in image editing for cropping, masking, and concealing visual elements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to formulate concise, fair evaluation criteria.
• Familiarity with Google Drive and adherence to structured digital workflow practices.
