Job Overview

This role involves capturing a variety of photographic content including news events, press conferences, interviews, and assignments throughout Doha. The professional will also produce commercial photography for marketing purposes, encompassing product shots, corporate imagery, lifestyle, and campaign visuals.

Primary Duties

• Conduct both studio and outdoor photoshoots, taking charge of lighting arrangements and directing the shoot process.
• Edit images, apply color correction and retouch photos to meet the standards required for publication.
• Organize and maintain image libraries with appropriate tagging and metadata for easy retrieval.
• Record supplementary video content and B-roll footage when necessary.
• Collaborate with editorial and creative departments to prepare shoots that align with briefs and deadlines.
• Oversee the maintenance and management of photographic equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting tools.

Candidate Profile

• Between three to five years of professional experience in photography, with a background in both editorial coverage and commercial projects.
• A robust portfolio that shows experience in news coverage and campaign/product photography.
• Expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop software for photo editing.
• Strong knowledge of lighting setups including natural light, studio strobes, and on-location lighting.
• Ability to deliver quick turnaround times for news-related assignments.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends based on event schedules.
• Preferably in possession of a Qatar driving license and personal transportation means.

Additional Advantages

• Skills in video recording and editing using platforms like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Certification in drone photography.
• Experience in covering events within Qatar or the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• Fluency or knowledge of the Arabic language is beneficial.

Additional Information

• Work location is onsite in Doha with frequent travel to field assignments around the city.
