Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our Field Operations team in Collection Operations. The role primarily involves home collection and handling of blood samples for diagnostic testing at various locations, including Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients and customers using venipuncture or finger-stick methods and perform rapid testing as needed.
- Ensure specimen integrity by employing aseptic techniques and adhering strictly to standard operating procedures.
- Verify patient identity and details through proper documentation review.
- Accurately label and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring proper packaging and tagging per medical requisitions.
- Maintain detailed records including patient names, blood drawn volume, and diagnostic outcomes.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate all laboratory equipment utilized during blood collection and testing processes.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Applicants must have at least 1 year and up to 10 years of experience in phlebotomy or related sample collection fields.
- Possess formal education credentials such as DMLT, BMLT, or MLT.
- Demonstrate proficiency with biomedical waste management, testing protocols, and equipment operation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with basic computer literacy are essential.
- Display excellent patient service skills, effectively answering questions and fostering positive patient relations within the medical facility.
- Must be willing and able to travel for home sample collections.
- Possession of a valid driving license and a two-wheeler vehicle is mandatory for the role.
Terms & Conditions
- Salary ranges up to INR 3,60,000 per annum with additional compensation of INR 3.5 per kilometer traveled.
- Work schedule includes rotational shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
