About the Opportunity

This is a long-term, stable part-time role supporting remote work. The position involves conducting detailed peer reviews for academic manuscripts in the field of Instruments & Instrumentation. Applicants should carefully study the recruitment criteria and complete the application form accurately.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a Doctorate (PhD) or an equivalent advanced degree related to the discipline.
  • Have published a minimum of five papers in SCI or SSCI-indexed journals within the last three years.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards in the relevant field.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Show excellent written communication skills, capable of delivering clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.
  • Commit to confidentiality and impartiality throughout the review process.
  • Previous experience serving as a peer reviewer for scholarly journals is an advantage.
  • Be familiar with online manuscript submission and review platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts to determine their contribution to the field.
  • Critically evaluate study design and methodologies for clarity, appropriateness, and reproducibility.
  • Verify that the literature review is comprehensive, current, and well-cited.
  • Analyze whether results and conclusions are clearly presented, logically supported by data, and meaningful to the discipline.
  • Provide constructive, detailed feedback highlighting necessary improvements, potential flaws, or ethical issues.
  • Assist journal editors by recommending manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection based on your evaluation.
