Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

McCauley Pharmacy in Carrick On Suir is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to become part of their established team. This is a permanent and full-time 40-hour per week position, spread over five days.

Team Composition

The current pharmacy team includes a Retail Store Manager, an Assistant Store Manager, a Supervising Pharmacist, one Relief staff member, and four Pharmacy Technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure preparation and dispensing of medicinal products is carried out accurately with meticulous attention to detail, under pharmacist supervision.
• Manage stock levels effectively, including ordering medications in line with store requirements.
• Prepare blister packs and handle the processing and tracking of claims.
• Support the pharmacist within a busy dispensary environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working in a high-paced dispensary environment is advantageous but newly qualified technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with McLernons MPS software is a plus.
• Completion of the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies would be beneficial.
