Pharmacy Technician - Monkstown

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the Hickey's Pharmacy team located in Monkstown. This is a permanent, 32-hour weekly position across four days. The pharmacy operates from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, remaining closed on Sundays. The current team includes a Retail Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, one Support staff, and two Technicians. The store maintains a manageable range of items and services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meticulous accuracy and maintain high attention to detail while performing duties.
• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist professionally and compassionately.
• Manage stock levels effectively and place medicine orders according to store needs.
• Assemble blister packs, handle claims processing, and track related documentation.
• Assist and report to the Pharmacist within the busy dispensary environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a fast-paced dispensary setting is beneficial, though newly qualified technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with McLernons MPS software is advantageous.
• Completion of the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or possession of a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is preferred.
