Pharmacist

Job Summary

Kingsdale Pharmacy is looking for a proficient and committed Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This role involves dispensing medications, delivering patient-centered care, and ensuring medication safety and effectiveness within our facility in Kitchener, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently dispense medications.
• Evaluate medication orders to identify appropriateness and potential interactions.
• Provide counseling and respond to patient medication inquiries.
• Work alongside healthcare professionals to formulate patient care strategies.
• Observe patient responses to therapy and make treatment adjustments as needed.
• Keep comprehensive and accurate patient records.
• Ensure adherence to pharmacy-related laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist license in the province of Ontario.
• Strong grasp of medical terminology and pharmacology principles.
• Preferably experienced in hospital or acute care environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Competence in medication administration procedures.
