Role Overview

The Pharmacist will be responsible for delivering safe, precise, and prompt medication management services for children treated at Reenaz Center. This on-site, full-time role located in Lusail involves dispensing prescribed medications accurately, verifying pediatric dosages, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements. The Pharmacist engages with families and caregivers to educate them about correct medication usage, possible side effects, and the importance of adherence, with communication tailored to children with developmental and behavioral conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications as per pediatric prescriptions, ensuring dosage accuracy and safety.
  • Educate families and caregivers about medication administration, potential adverse effects, and adherence strategies.
  • Maintain and monitor pharmacy inventory and medication storage conditions for quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to support and optimize patients’ treatment plans.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing medication-related policies and protocols.
  • Participate in educational and awareness programs targeted at staff and families.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Licensed Pharmacist holding a recognized pharmacy degree (Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy) eligible to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in pediatric pharmacotherapy focusing on dosing, safety, and counseling tailored to children and families.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medication regulations, prescription assessment, drug interactions, and documentation best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide empathic guidance to caregivers.
  • Competent in pharmacy information systems and electronic health records management ensuring meticulous data entry.
  • Capable of working on-site in Lusail with the ability to manage diverse priorities while upholding professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Experience in developmental and behavioral pediatric environments or specialized multidisciplinary centers is advantageous.
