About the Role

Pharmasave Mission Park is seeking a dedicated full-time Pharmacist to join its energetic team at the walk-in pharmacy clinic located in Kelowna, British Columbia. This city offers vibrant lifestyle options including summers by the water and winter activities nearby at Big White. Being a locally operated pharmacy with a strong focus on clinical expertise and patient care, we provide an excellent environment for pharmacists who are passionate about clinical practice in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure prescriptions are accurate and verified, including cross-verification with other pharmacy staff when possible
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in all interactions and data handling
• Oversee inventory levels to meet patient care needs efficiently
• Provide comprehensive patient education and care services
• Handle communications and updates from Pharmasave headquarters, pharmacy associations, regulatory bodies, and health professionals
• Address any prescription-related or care issues within appropriate timeframes

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Current and active BC Pharmacist License in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
• Certification for administering injections
• Authorization to prescribe for minor ailments
• Ability to keep up-to-date with pharmacy regulations and best practices
• Strong communication skills to simplify complex medical information for patients
• Experience working with the Kroll pharmacy software system
• Previous experience in community pharmacy settings
