Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar requires providing comprehensive grooming services for cats and dogs. Duties comprise bathing, drying, trimming, brushing, and styling coats, all while prioritizing pet safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Check in pets and consult with their owners to understand grooming preferences.
- Advise customers on suitable grooming options and related products.
- Monitor animals for signs of stress or health issues during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of grooming workstations according to protocols.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Foster a friendly atmosphere by delivering courteous customer service and managing bookings.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in animal care and welfare with the ability to handle pets gently and securely.
- Hands-on experience in pet care including bathing, brushing, trimming, and applying basic grooming techniques.
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with pet owners and colleagues.
- Familiarity with grooming tools, equipment operation, and fundamental health and hygiene standards.
- Physical ability to stand for long durations, lift pets safely, and maintain pace in a dynamic environment.
- Prior grooming experience or work in a pet care setting is advantageous.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and willingness to learn new grooming styles and methods.
- Basic proficiency in English; additional languages such as Arabic are preferable.
