Job Role
As a Pet Groomer based full-time in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, your responsibilities will include bathing, drying, brushing, trimming coats, clipping nails, and cleaning ears of various pets, adhering to established hygiene and styling standards. You will evaluate pets' coat and skin health, observe behavior to detect any distress, and ensure gentle and secure handling of all animals. Client interaction is a key element, providing guidance on grooming options, care tips, and follow-up support while maintaining detailed service records. You will also ensure the grooming area remains organized and clean, comply with safety and clinic guidelines, and cooperate with veterinary and support teams to deliver a positive environment for clients and their pets.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess strong skills in animal care and welfare, with a compassionate and safe approach to handling pets.
- Experienced in pet care techniques like bathing, brushing, coat trimming, nail and ear maintenance, and basic evaluation of coat and skin condition.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities to clearly explain grooming options and manage client expectations.
- Preferably have previous grooming, animal handling, or related animal services experience.
- Demonstrate precision, effective time management, and the ability to work safely in a busy clinical setting.
- Willing and able to work on-site in Sharjah within a multidisciplinary, diverse team environment.
- Relevant certifications in pet grooming or animal care are advantageous, alongside a strong desire for professional growth and continuous learning.
