Role Summary

As a Pest Technician, you will deliver top-tier pest control services to residential clients by inspecting properties thoroughly, identifying pest issues, applying appropriate treatments, and advising customers on prevention. This position requires strict adherence to safety standards and clear communication with clients regarding pest control strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine customer properties in detail to detect pest activity, damage, and potential ingress points.
• Use approved chemicals, baits, and traps safely and effectively to eliminate pests.
• Educate homeowners on pest prevention tactics and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment.
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships, arrange and confirm appointments, support sales efforts with existing customers, and promote products to new clientele.
• Maintain equipment properly, ensuring it is stocked and functioning well.
• Follow all applicable local, state, and federal pest control regulations and safety procedures.
• Drive and operate a company vehicle responsibly; the company handles routine vehicle maintenance.

Essential Job Functions and Work Environment

• Navigate tight spaces like basements, attics, crawl areas, and narrow pathways.
• Encounter various animals, insects, and termites during work.
• Work safely around mechanical components, vehicles, electricity, heights, scaffolding, dust, fumes, and chemicals; training will be provided for safe operation.
• Work indoors and outdoors in local weather conditions with company-provided protective clothing.
• Regularly engage in physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and maneuvering stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and ramps.
• Wear OSHA-compliant personal protective equipment including respirators.

Candidate Requirements

• Must maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator sealing.
• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Hold a valid driver's license from the state of residence.
• Obtain necessary licenses or certifications required by law; the company covers related costs.
• Available to work Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends.
• Eager to learn and develop expertise in all facets of pest control.
• Good reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills to follow product mixing instructions.
• Experience interacting with customers is preferred.
