Role Overview

As a Pest Technician, your main responsibility is to deliver top-quality pest control solutions to residential customers. This includes identifying pest infestations, conducting detailed inspections, administering proper treatments using pesticides and traps, and advising on preventive strategies to avoid recurrence, all while following safety protocols and maintaining clear communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect client properties thoroughly to detect pests, damages, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control methods including chemicals, baits, and traps safely and effectively.
• Inform and educate customers on how to prevent future pest problems and maintain a pest-free home.
• Develop strong customer relationships, manage scheduling and appointment confirmations, promote and sell services to both existing and new customers.
• Maintain pest control tools and equipment in good condition and fully stocked.
• Comply strictly with all relevant local, state, and federal pest control regulations and safety standards.
• Operate company-provided service vehicles responsibly and follow maintenance procedures as required.
• Work in confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, while handling animals, insects, and hazardous materials safely wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, crawling, and balancing in various environments and weather conditions, supported by company-provided gear.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
• Must have a clean-shaven face to ensure proper seal of safety respirators.
• Willingness to work Monday through Friday and weekends as necessary.
• License or certification as required by governing bodies, provided or covered by the company.
• Basic math proficiency to handle product mixing instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; prior experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• A motivated learner ready to acquire comprehensive knowledge in all pest control areas.
