Role Summary
As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier pest management services to residential clients. Your duties will include thorough inspections, pest identification and extermination, applying treatments safely, and educating customers on prevention.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections to locate infestation signs, property damage, and pest entry points.
- Utilize approved pest control chemicals, baits, and traps following safety guidelines to eradicate pests.
- Provide advice to clients on preventing future pest issues and maintaining pest-free environments.
- Develop strong customer relationships by scheduling, confirming appointments, and promoting pest control products.
- Maintain and stock pest control tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Follow all pertinent local, state, and federal regulations regarding the handling and application of pest control substances.
- Operate company vehicles safely, with routine maintenance provided.
- Work effectively in confined spaces such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces, and in various weather conditions wearing company-issued gear.
- Navigate physical demands involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and using ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, including OSHA-compliant respirators.
Requirements
- Must have a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator fit.
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or relevant equivalent experience or training.
- Hold a valid driver's license for your state of residence.
- Obtain necessary licenses or certificates as mandated by federal, state, or local laws (covered by employer).
- Availability to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
- Eagerness to learn all aspects of pest control service.
- Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication capabilities.
- Basic math skills to accurately follow product mixing instructions.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
