Role Overview
We are seeking Personal Support Workers to aid our clients in the Innisfail region with daily activities within their homes. The role includes various shifts—morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight—to suit diverse availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with transfers to and from bed and wheelchairs, utilizing hoists when necessary.
- Support personal grooming including bathing, dressing, and dental hygiene.
- Provide personal care duties such as toileting and managing bladder and bowel needs.
- Perform basic wound care and support clients with self-medication routines.
- Offer domestic assistance including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry tasks.
- Facilitate community involvement by transporting clients to appointments and social events.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to be an attentive, honest listener.
- Capability to work independently within a fixed fortnightly roster.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ownership of a smartphone device.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS screening certification.
