Job Overview
A Personal Loan Overdraft Officer is responsible for managing credit facilities that enable clients to withdraw funds beyond their current account balance up to an approved limit. The role involves assessing creditworthiness, defining terms for overdraft limits, structuring revolving credit lines, and overseeing ongoing account activity to ensure compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the financial background, credit scores, and cash flow statements of applicants to determine appropriate overdraft limits.
- Design credit facilities by setting interest rates, repayment schedules, and withdrawal limits tailored to client profiles.
- Continuously monitor active overdraft accounts, tracking the utilization of limits and interest accumulation.
- Ensure adherence to internal risk control policies as well as external regulations from banking authorities.
- Provide clear explanations to borrowers about overdraft functioning, variable interest terms, and effective fund management strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Deep understanding of credit underwriting principles.
- Expertise in analyzing cash flows and financial statements.
