Personal Assistant to Directors

Overview

Scenariohat Films invites passionate emerging filmmakers to join as a Personal Assistant to Directors for a major Saudi premium drama series with cinematic style. This role is distinct from an Assistant Director position and focuses on supporting the director in various creative and administrative functions, especially bridging communication with the Italian cinematography and lighting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a creative and linguistic intermediary between the director and the Italian camera crew on set.
• Assist the director in overall preparations and constructing the director's treatment.
• Organize the director's daily tasks and manage their schedule to reduce administrative burden.
• Coordinate creative meetings and relay feedback between the director and other production departments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fluency in both Italian and Arabic languages is essential.
• Background as an emerging director or a cinema graduate with fundamental knowledge of cinema terminology such as lenses, lighting, and camera movement.
• Proficient in basic presentation software like Google Slides for preparing files.
• Ability and flexibility to travel and be present at filming locations outside Saudi Arabia, including Bahrain.

Additional Information

• Filming locations are between Khobar and Bahrain.
• This is not an Assistant Director role but a director’s personal assistant position focused on shadowing and close support.
