Role Overview

As a People and Capability Advisor, your role will be to provide practical HR guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with managers and staff to ensure people practices are efficient, coherent, and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver daily HR advice and assistance to managers and employees.
• Support recruitment efforts, onboarding, and employee lifecycle procedures.
• Assist in drafting employment agreements, contract variations, and related documentation.
• Aid in performance management, workplace relations, and other employee-related matters.
• Offer guidance on HR policies, company procedures, and employment legislation compliance.
• Contribute to organisational change efforts including restructures and people initiatives.
• Maintain precise employee records and HR information systems.
• Promote employee engagement and wellbeing programs.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify capability and people development needs.
• Assist with HR reporting, projects, and ongoing process improvements.
• Ensure consistent application of HR procedures aligning with company standards.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor, People & Capability Advisor, or related HR role.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop trusted relationships with both management and employees.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
• A practical, solutions-oriented approach to handling HR issues.
• Proficient written communication skills and confidence in preparing HR documents.
• Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
