Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to handle comprehensive payroll operations in Reading, UK. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in UK payroll processing and a solid grasp of payroll legislation and compliance.
Key Duties
- Oversee the full payroll cycle for UK employees.
- Process hiring and termination payroll changes including salary adjustments, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and statutory payments.
- Ensure full adherence to PAYE, National Insurance, Real Time Information (RTI), pension regulations, and all other payroll-related national standards.
- Perform payroll reconciliations regularly and resolve any discrepancies identified.
- Prepare and submit required HMRC and RTI documentation promptly.
- Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries efficiently and maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Assist with payroll audits and guarantee punctual adherence to payroll deadlines.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least four years of hands-on experience managing UK payrolls.
- Proficient understanding of PAYE, National Insurance contributions, RTI submissions, and UK employment payroll laws.
- Experienced in processing end-to-end payroll tasks.
- Knowledge of UK pension schemes and statutory payment requirements.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail paired with numerical precision.
- Effective communication skills coupled with problem-solving capabilities.
