Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to join our global client's team in Hertfordshire. This in-office position focuses on the precise, timely, and compliant execution of payroll services across EMEA, the UK, and select APAC units. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to maintain financial accuracy, ensure statutory compliance, uphold solid financial controls, and aid in month-end closing procedures. Additionally, the specialist will champion continuous enhancements in payroll processes regionally, blending payroll proficiency with financial analytics, governance, and strategic finance partnerships.
Key Duties
- Deliver accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple regions including the UK, EMEA, and designated APAC entities.
- Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and outsourced payroll teams to maintain financial integrity.
- Support month-end close activities ensuring payroll-related financial controls are robustly maintained.
- Drive ongoing improvements to regional payroll processes leveraging payroll and financial expertise.
- Act as a strategic partner in financial governance and analysis within the broader finance organization.
Requirements
- Extensive prior experience managing UK payroll including knowledge of P11D and PSA reporting obligations.
- Proven payroll expertise across EMEA or APAC regions.
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and reconciliation procedures.
