Job Overview
As a Payroll Specialist, you will oversee and execute comprehensive payroll operations across all company entities. This role covers the full monthly payroll cycle, reimbursements, ad-hoc payments, and final settlements. Additionally, you will ensure accurate payroll costing, reconcile payroll accounts and provisions, and maintain compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and audit standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process monthly payroll for all organizational units accurately and on schedule.
- Verify and administer all employee-related payments including reimbursements and final settlements.
- Update and review employee leave records monthly, ensuring correct payroll reflection.
- Perform monthly payroll costing and correctly distribute payroll expenses across departments and entities.
- Conduct reconciliations monthly for payroll accounts, provisions, and accruals.
- Maintain current and precise employee payroll and leave data within HR and payroll systems.
- Ensure full adherence to statutory regulations, UAE labor laws, and company policies.
- Support both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
- Work with Employee Relations to resolve any discrepancies related to leave.
- Keep abreast of changes to labor laws, tax regulations, and other factors impacting payroll, ensuring timely compliance.
- Contribute to ongoing optimization of payroll and leave management processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
- Compile and present payroll and workforce reports for management review, audits, and compliance purposes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll administration or HR operations.
- Proven experience in payroll management within a multi-entity organization.
Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE labor law and payroll compliance.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and HRIS, specifically Oracle.
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent reporting skills to translate data into actionable insights.
- Meticulous attention to reconciliation tasks and data integrity.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality handling sensitive information.
