Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist located at our Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin head office to oversee full-cycle payroll processing. The role demands precise management to guarantee accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely salary payments. This position requires a solid grasp of Irish payroll laws, Revenue protocols, and effective payroll practices, coupled with meticulousness, confidentiality, and strong interdepartmental teamwork.
Working Hours
The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll on both weekly and monthly cycles promptly and accurately.
- Maintain comprehensive employee payroll records covering new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, benefits, deductions, and pension plans.
- Ensure adherence to all Irish payroll legislations, Revenue mandates, and employment laws.
- Reconcile payroll reports alongside control accounts and statutory payment records.
- Administer statutory payments including maternity, paternity, adoptive, parental, and sick leaves.
- Assist with annual payroll processes and required reporting.
- Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, pension providers, and external payroll services as necessary.
- Generate payroll reports, perform reconciliations, and deliver management information.
- Support audits and compliance inspections related to payroll operations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance payroll procedures and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ payroll experience, specifically within the Irish payroll system.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish payroll law and Revenue requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software and HR information systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities.
- Demonstrated numerical precision and keen attention to detail.
- Effective organization and time management capabilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive information ethically and discreetly.
Additional Assets
- Possession of or working toward an IPASS qualification.
- Experience handling payroll for multi-site or multi-jurisdiction environments.
- Background in supporting payroll-related projects, system upgrades, or process reengineering.
