Role Overview

The position of Payroll Professional is a full-time on-site opportunity located in Qatar. The individual in this role is responsible for comprehensive payroll management for a multifaceted workforce. This includes precise salary calculation, overtime, allowances, and deductions in strict adherence to company policies and local legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update payroll data and employee records regularly.
• Collaborate closely with HR and finance teams to manage payroll-related aspects concerning new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
• Address and resolve employee questions or issues related to payroll.
• Compile payroll reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support audits involving payroll and contribute to enhancing payroll procedures and systems for improved efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient in payroll processing and administration, including familiarity with payroll software and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
• Strong understanding of labor laws, statutory deductions, and compliance requirements pertinent to payroll.
• Knowledgeable in accounting principles related to payroll, such as reconciliations and reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage substantial datasets and numerical data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for explaining payroll information and collaborating with diverse teams.
• Experience within construction, engineering, or project-driven environments is beneficial.
• Possession of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional payroll certifications are advantageous.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Qatar while adapting to local workplace norms and cultural expectations.
