Role Overview
The Client Payroll Operations (CPO) team supports high-volume, precise payroll processing for global contingent workforce clients. This position requires collaboration with billing, finance, HR, and client services teams to ensure compliance with labor regulations across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily payroll tasks including accurate international payroll transactions, timecard adjustments, regulatory monitoring, rate changes, and payment maintenance.
- Perform thorough pre-payroll audits and corrections for error-free submissions.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to established payroll processing standards across client services.
- Provide ongoing payroll support and research solutions to employees, HR, finance, and clients.
- Develop and deliver training materials related to payroll processes.
- Handle data entry in systems such as WAND, PeopleSoft, and Excel.
- Track holiday leave accruals and maintain payroll records as requested.
- Coordinate international Agent of Payment data and maintain relationships.
- Generate ad hoc reports on workers, departments, and vendors.
- Review processes and documentation to identify efficiencies and improvements.
- Assist in gathering user requirements for system enhancements.
- Maintain knowledge of business design and product offerings related to contingent workforce management.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of payroll experience focused on India with 1-2 years in customer service roles.
- In-depth understanding of India payroll compliance and regulations.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in EMEA & APAC payroll, Agent of Payment, or staffing firms.
- Familiarity with payroll systems like PeopleSoft or similar large ERP platforms.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints using both standard and creative approaches.
- Strong comprehension of diverse instructions in written, verbal, and diagrammatic forms.
- Ability to collaborate across different time zones and independently manage workload.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with management in multiple time zones.
- A master's degree focusing on Human Resources is preferred.
