Role Overview
The Payroll Accountant will support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services for employees under the company’s Employer of Record licenses as well as for external clients. This involves managing payroll processes in accordance with local labor laws, WPS regulations, client contracts, and internal controls, ensuring confidentiality and high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing for both in-house staff and external clients ensuring precision and timely completion.
- Serve as the main contact for client payroll inquiries, addressing and resolving issues within 24 hours.
- Coordinate with clients to gather payroll data, resolve discrepancies and secure approvals before payroll runs.
- Deliver client payrolls aligned with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare and distribute detailed payroll reports and payslips to clients for review and approval.
- Advise clients on payroll compliance, statutory changes, and best practices.
- Handle payroll-related disputes and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain thorough and current client payroll documentation adhering to audit requirements and confidentiality standards.
- Develop and nurture positive client relationships to sustain trust and satisfaction.
- Participate in service reviews and recommend improvements to payroll processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is mandatory.
- 3 to 5 years of practical UAE payroll experience.
- Experience in client-facing payroll roles or professional services environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor law, WPS, and statutory payroll obligations.
- Proficient with payroll software and accounting systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and capability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of accounting or CRM software is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulousness.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.

Working Hours and Flexibility
- Standard hours are 8:30AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Friday.
