Job description
Job Objective
Ensure accurate and punctual handling of employee compensation, benefits, and final settlements while upholding compliance with company financial policies, labor regulations, and government mandates.
Key Duties
- Manage monthly payroll preparation and processing for all staff, verifying consistency with HR records.
- Calculate employees' base pay, allowances, overtime, bonuses, incentives, and authorized deductions such as absences and penalties.
- Determine and remit GOSI contributions, maintaining compliance with government platforms.
- Monitor personal deductions including loans and salary advances.
- Process End of Service Benefits, annual leave payouts, and final settlements for exiting employees.
- Record payroll transactions into the ERP system and reconcile payroll accounts with bank statements regularly.
- Upload payroll data via the Wage Protection System within set deadlines.
- Respond to employee queries about salary details and cooperate with auditors by providing necessary payroll documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience as a Payroll Accountant or similar position.
- Proficiency using ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo.
- Sound knowledge of labor laws, GOSI regulations, and Wage Protection System standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
