Responsibilities
The role involves managing patient meal services on designated units, including selecting menus, assembling trays, delivering and collecting meals, fulfilling special dietary requests, and providing snacks between meals. You will effectively communicate any food-related concerns or needs with team members and nursing staff, ensuring patient nutrition requirements are met. Additionally, you will respond promptly and accurately to changes to guarantee timely meal services and adherence to physician-ordered dietary modifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- No prior experience required, though six months of food service experience within a hospital setting is preferred.
- No licenses or certifications are necessary.
Additional Information
This position is based at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital and is a full-time, on-site role.
