Role Overview

The Partnerships Specialist position at w.media requires a dynamic and well-organized individual to support the company's expanding initiatives in Southeast Asia. The key focus is nurturing and expanding w.media’s network of professionals in data centers, cloud, AI, and digital infrastructure. This position involves close coordination with regional account managers to boost event attendance, foster industry engagement, aid client campaigns, and uncover new business prospects. This opportunity suits those who excel in interpersonal communication, relationship building, and enjoy fast-paced international events and media environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and invite relevant sector professionals to participate in w.media events.
  • Engage prospective delegates using emails, LinkedIn, phone calls, and other communication platforms.
  • Establish and maintain connections with specialists in data centers, cloud, AI, technology, and digital infrastructure.
  • Support delegate registration processes and follow up with confirmed attendees prior to events.
  • Expand and sustain w.media’s industry database and community within Southeast Asia.
  • Conduct research on potential sponsors, exhibitors, and business opportunities.
  • Support the Sales team in lead generation and identification of prospects.
  • Facilitate scheduling of sales meetings and introductions with potential clients.
  • Assist in follow-up communications with sponsors and partners.
  • Maintain precise records of sales activities, contacts, and leads in the CRM system.
  • Help prepare proposals, presentations, and client-facing documents as needed.
  • Contribute to event marketing initiatives through email, social media, and direct outreach efforts.
  • Promote speakers, sponsors, event agendas, and registration drives.
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant industry associations, communities, and media partners.
  • Support engagement activities with the community before, during, and after events.

Requirements

  • Between fresh graduate and 2 years of work experience.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English for regional and international communication.
  • Comfortable interacting with professionals via email, LinkedIn, and phone.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication and relationship development.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Interest in technology, events, media, sales, or marketing is beneficial.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot is advantageous but not mandatory.
