Partnerships Manager - Kenya

Role Overview

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is looking for a skilled Partnerships Manager based in Kenya, working remotely but with regular travel throughout Kenya and occasional trips to Cambridge, UK. This position is offered on a permanent basis with flexible full-time or part-time hours, offering an annual salary range of $26,000 to $30,000 USD depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities to expand the Foundation's impact and reach across Kenya.
• Manage assigned partnerships to ensure effective delivery and enhance partner capacity for high-quality learning experiences targeting young people and educators.
• Oversee new program implementations in the region, including comprehensive grant management as needed.
• Collaborate with the Impact team to refine and execute monitoring and evaluation strategies that inform partnership and program enhancements.
• Monitor and report progress across partnerships and programs, proactively addressing challenges, risks, and making renewal recommendations.
• Build and maintain the Foundation's network within Kenya, representing the organization at local and international forums alongside partners.
• Promote the Foundation's achievements through content creation for newsletters, social media, and active engagement on internal communication channels.
• Provide leadership and line management to Kenya team members where applicable.

Experience and Personal Attributes

• Proven success in partnership and business development, including opportunity identification, proposal creation, and cultivating productive relationships.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Kenyan education system and its mechanisms for adopting new programs and products, particularly in the computing education sector.
• Significant experience managing education partnerships, including large-scale and complex initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills coupled with an existing network of relevant contacts.
• Proficient in grant management processes with experience handling related responsibilities.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and an awareness of technological trends influencing education.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated adaptability, collaboration skills, and a solution-focused mindset capable of juggling competing priorities.
• Solid data analysis skills and the aptitude to leverage data for continuous improvement.
• Willingness to undertake travel within Kenya, occasionally requiring overnight stays, and possible travel to South Africa and the UK.
