Job description

About the Role

Join Salesforce as a Partner Technical Architect dedicated to the Agentforce platform, working closely with top Systems Integrator (SI) partners to build and deliver scalable, production-quality AI solutions. This role combines strong engineering judgment, applied AI knowledge, and rapid adaptation to the Salesforce platform to solve complex enterprise AI challenges with practical, reusable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapidly prototype concepts to validate ideas, identify platform limitations, and mitigate implementation risks.
  • Create reference implementations, starter kits, demos, and evaluation tools for partners to extend and deploy effectively.
  • Translate partner field experience into durable assets such as code, architectural diagrams, checklists, decision trees, and guidance documentation.
  • Critically review partner Agentforce architectures focusing on design quality, retrieval strategies, tooling, governance guardrails, observability, costs, security, and readiness for production deployment.
  • Coach Partner Field Development Engineers (FDEs) and architects through design clinics, office hours, portfolio reviews, and targeted walkthroughs.
  • Communicate recurring field issues clearly to product and engineering teams as constructive feedback.
  • Help partners understand how technical architecture decisions impact delivery quality, customer outcomes, and consumption economics.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in building or prototyping real software solutions such as agents, automations, internal tools, or demos, accompanied by demonstrable artifacts like GitHub repos or architecture documents.
  • Strong learning agility to adopt new platforms through practical building rather than relying solely on documentation.
  • Ability to move quickly while maintaining production-grade qualities like safety, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
  • Skill in recognizing reusable patterns from single projects and scaling them for partner use.

Applied AI and Agentic Systems Expertise

  • Proficiency working with large language models (LLMs), agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool integration, workflow orchestration, or automation systems.
  • Capability to reason about multi-agent dynamics, human-in-the-loop processes, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Competence in diagnosing agent behaviors including trace analysis, log review, fault conditions, tool invocations, context issues, latency challenges, and UX gaps.
  • Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval relevance, evaluation methods, hallucination mitigation, guardrails, and balancing cost versus performance.

Enterprise Architecture Skills

  • Clear and effective communication with engineers, architects, product teams, partner leaders, and executives.
  • Strong systems thinking encompassing APIs, data flow, identity, security, integration, monitoring, and operational handoff responsibilities.
  • Ability to differentiate platform gaps, configuration challenges, partner delivery bottlenecks, and significant patterns meriting formalization.
  • Experience working in regulated or complex enterprise environments where governance, trust, and delivery risks are critical.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce technologies such as Agentforce, Data Cloud, Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), MuleSoft, or multi-cloud architectures.
  • Salesforce certifications are advantageous, though not mandatory with sufficient demonstrated proficiency and rapid learning capability.
  • Background collaborating with system integrators or partner delivery teams on complex implementations.
  • Published technical contributions including open-source projects, documentation, talks, or blog posts.
  • Development of maturity models, readiness assessments, production-readiness scorecards, or review frameworks.
  • Familiarity with consumption economics, agent cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO), or outcome-driven delivery models.
