Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Painter to work on-site in Milton Keynes. This role involves preparing surfaces, accurately mixing and matching paints, and applying coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray devices. Daily duties include masking to protect adjacent areas, conducting minor repairs, sanding, and priming surfaces as required. The Painter will interpret job specifications or drawings, uphold clean and organized workspaces, handle materials and equipment with care, and comply with health and safety protocols. Collaboration with team members and meeting project deadlines and quality benchmarks are essential aspects of this position.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in selecting and applying paints suitable for diverse surfaces and finishes.
• Experienced in painting and decorating, including thorough surface preparation and finishing skills.
• Knowledgeable in coatings application, comprehending both protective and decorative coating systems.
• Familiarity with spray painting techniques and spray tool operation.
• Background working in commercial or residential painting settings is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret and follow detailed job specifications, drawings, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Physical capability to stand, lift, bend, and perform tasks at heights as necessitated by the role.
• Basic understanding of applicable health and safety standards in painting and coatings.
• Vocational training or credentials in painting or coatings are considered a plus.
