Overview

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Painter to join its Engineering Department. As part of an award-winning luxury hotel known for its exquisite Arabian ambiance and top-tier hospitality, the Painter will maintain and enhance the quality of furniture, woodwork, and decorative elements throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the painting team by providing necessary tools and guidance.
• Plan, estimate, and prioritize painting jobs according to the hotel's operational requirements.
• Execute painting and polishing tasks on furniture, wood panels, gypsum surfaces, ceilings, and decorative doors.
• Repair and repaint hotel metal doors and frames.
• Preserve gold leaf and decorative finishes in public areas like the lobby and guest spaces.
• Perform inspections and routine upkeep of common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of workshops, plant rooms, and related maintenance areas.
• Observe safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for self and colleagues.
• Handle special assignments and support other departments during events, providing specialized services.
• Comply with company policies, safety instructions, and maintain professional appearance with clean uniforms.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in a painter role within luxury hotels; resort experience is advantageous.
• Proficient with various surface types including wood, metal, gypsum, walls, and ceilings.
• Knowledgeable in decorative painting, polishing, touch-up work, and finishing techniques.
• Technical certification or vocational training in painting and finishing is preferable.
