Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time Painter based in Patna for onsite work. The position involves preparing surfaces via cleaning, sanding, crack filling, and primer application when necessary. Daily duties include mixing and matching paint colors, applying paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, as well as executing decorative finishes. The painter must adhere to project guidelines, safeguard nearby areas, maintain tools, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks.
• Mix and match paints accurately according to project needs.
• Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray devices.
• Execute decorative finishes as specified.
• Protect adjacent surfaces and maintain cleanliness at the worksite.
• Maintain and care for painting tools and equipment.
• Follow project specifications and safety protocols rigorously.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines.
• Assist in estimating paint and material requirements.
• Report any issues encountered on site promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated practical skills in paint application and a fundamental understanding of various paints and finishes.
• Proven experience in surface preparation and finishing techniques for painting and decorating.
• Knowledge of protective and decorative coatings suitable for different environments.
• Competence in brush, roller, and spray painting methods.
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment and safe material handling.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions, measurements, and project requirements.
• Physical stamina to stand for prolonged periods, work at heights, and lift moderate weights daily.
• Prior experience working as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial contexts is advantageous.
