About the Employer
The housing owners' association of the UNI-Center in Cologne is managed by DSI Dr.-Ing. Schmolke Immobilien GmbH and oversees one of Europe's largest residential complexes. This building includes 968 housing units, three building wings, and a central tower reaching up to 45 floors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of interior painting and touch-up tasks within the residential complex.
- Carry out repair work on walls and ceilings affected by water damage, cracks, or other craftsmen's work.
- Conduct renovation and upkeep in communal areas such as stairwells, corridors, entrance halls, basements, and technical rooms.
- Carefully paint and visually restore patch-up areas to maintain appearance quality.
- Communicate with management, residents, and property owners in a service-oriented manner as part of a four-member janitorial team.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a painter and varnisher or equivalent qualifications.
- Several years of professional experience, preferably within housing and property services.
- Basic knowledge in damage documentation through photos and concise reports is an advantage.
- Independent, thorough, and reliable work ethic.
- Friendly demeanor and service-mindedness in interactions with owners and tenants.
- Flexibility in working hours coordinated with the janitorial team.

Additional Information
Work schedule is full-time at 40 hours per week at the Cologne UNI-Center location. The position starts December 1, 2026.
