Painter & Decorator

About the Role

Mercure Hotel Perth seeks a dependable and skilled Painter and Decorator who will also handle general maintenance tasks. This role is vital in maintaining the hotel's upscale appearance by ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and backstage facilities are immaculate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out superior-quality painting and decorating work, including interior and exterior painting, applying wallpaper, patching plaster, and preparing surfaces in various hotel areas such as guest rooms, corridors, conference rooms, and dining facilities.
• Handle routine upkeep and minor repair jobs, including carpentry touch-ups, adjusting door hardware, fixing fixtures, and performing basic tiling or caulking tasks.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections, promptly identifying and documenting wear and tear issues to resolve them before they affect guest satisfaction.
• Strictly comply with hotel health, safety, and fire safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment around guests and colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering and Housekeeping teams to coordinate room preparations and planned refurbishments with minimal disruption to hotel activities.
