Painter and Polisher

Position Overview

The role entails applying paint, stain, and various finishes to property surfaces including walls, ceilings, and furniture using tools such as brushes, spray guns, and rollers. Preparation of surfaces with primers or sealers is required before applying finish coats. Removing old finishes through techniques like stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, and abrasive blasting is part of the duties. Protection of adjacent surfaces during painting, posting appropriate signage, and proper cleanup and storage of paints and equipment must be ensured. Coordination with vendors to modify paint colors is also expected.

Safety and Conduct

Adherence to the company’s policies on safety, security, and maintenance reporting is essential. Completing safety training and certifications is mandatory. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting confidential information and company property, and using clear and professional communication at all times are required. Providing exceptional guest service, including accommodating individuals with disabilities and assisting guests courteously, reflects the company’s hospitality standards.

Physical Requirements

The job requires physical activities such as reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving ladder positions. Lifting, carrying, or handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and standing, sitting or walking for prolonged periods is necessary.

Additional Duties

Performing other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors to support team goals and uphold quality expectations is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Completion of technical, trade, or vocational school courses.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in a related painting or polishing role.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No licenses or certifications are mandated.
